New Spinal Photo-Decompression Treatment

The laser centre is proud to announce the opening of its new Spinal Photo-Decompression Treatment centre. This new innovative treatment is the revolutionary non-surgical approach to help alleviate pain in spinal conditions such as:

  • disc problems
  • spinal stenosis
  • sciatica
  • chronic pain
  • pinched nerves
  • osteoarthritis-arthritis

Consisting of a two phase system, this treatment combines painless low-level laser treatment (LLLT) with state of the art spinal decompression.

Have you suffered from back, neck or leg pain for a long time... maybe decades. If you're typical, you've tried most if not virtually everything... bed rest, over the counter medication, prescription pain killers, physical rehab, chiropractic, acupuncture, traction and maybe even surgery — and so far, nothing's worked.

You're still in pain. And some days, your life is a living hell. And that's not surprising since research shows that most pain-relieving tactics and procedures aren't effective in treating chronic back pain at all... especially long term. Imagine how your life would instantly change if you discovered the solution to your back pain.

Most back pain is caused by damage to the discs (the cushions between the bones) in the lower back. This leads to sciatica, back pain, leg cramps and a host of other symptoms. The problem has always been finding a way to treat discs without doing something invasive like surgery. Prior to Spinal Decompression there wasn't a step between treatments like chiropractic, physical therapy, other non-invasive options and surgery. Now there is.

piriformis syndrome

Bulging disc pressing on the nerve

When the nucleus breaks through the annulus a herniation can occur. A bulging disc is a contained disc disorder, this means the nucleus pulposus remains 'contained' within the annulus fibrosus. Because a herniated disc is a 'noncontained' disc, consequences of a herniation are worse. With a bulged disc, disc material can press against a nerve, and compress the delicate tissue and cause sciatica. Irritation and a nerve compression leads to inflamation that can lead to extremity tingling, muscle weakness and numbness.

The Spinal Decompression device is a Health Canada cleared therapy (facilitated by a computer and monitoring device) that enables a technician to gently, precisely and safely put tension on the lower back and create a negative pressure inside the disc. The treatment is fast and completely painless. This negative pressure creates a vacuum effect that actually draws the bulging or “slipped” material back into the center of the disc. It also draws fluid into the disc – helping it rehydrate and heal.

Unlike other treatments for back pain, the technology actually heals the disc and makes it healthier. Many treatments only cover up the pain temporarily—until you aggravate your back again. Decompression Therapy Research Studies and Clinical Studies have shown Decompression Therapy to be extremely effective in treating back pain. In a recent study published in Orthopedic Technology Review, Decompression Therapy was shown to be 86% effective in treating herniated and degenerative discs. Not only that, but another study published in Anesthesiology News showed that after 4 years over 91% remained pain free.

What is Laser Therapy?

Laser Therapy is a virtually pain free form of phototherapy which involves the application of a low level laser light over the tissue to stimulate the area and amplify cellular activity. By targeting an injured or painful area, a signal is sent to the brain which triggers a natural increase in oxygen and blood flow to the affected area. This allows the healing process to begin at a much deeper level that previously could only be achieved with surgery or by masking the pain with medications.

What can Laser Therapy be used for?

  • Back Pain
  • Planter Fasciitis
  • Sprains
  • Sciatica
  • Arthritis
  • Frozen Shoulder
  • Wound Healing
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Strains
  • Diabetic
  • Ulcers
  • Bells Palsy
  • Tendinitis
  • Pre and Post Surgical

Are There Side Effects?

Laser Therapy is very safe and about 90% effective for most conditions. Some patients experience warmth and tingling in the treated area. Increase or decrease in pain in the initial 24 hour period is normal following a treatment.
